Planning Manager - Supply Chain Management, Planning and Logistics
Location: Montreal, #LI-Hybrid
About the role:
We are looking for collaborative, experienced, and flexible planning managers who want to maximize customer service and optimize inventory management objectives. As a Planning Manager you will be responsible for communication, escalation and resolution of bottleneck management and critical supply issues with internal and external stakeholders.
The role reports directly into the Novartis Canada Associate Director Planning & Logistics and will work closely with the Supply Chain cross-functional team.

Key Responsibilities:
• For assigned products takes ownership for inventory management to meet sales plan, protect CA Market.
• Determines applicable coverage of finished goods inventory respecting Global and Local inventory and working capital targets.
• Develop supply plan based on demand and planning parameters to support sales target while minimizing inventory impact at local and global cost.
• Manages relationship with Novartis and ESO (3rd party suppliers) by attending and or coordinating Direct Communication meetings to assess proactively potential issues (delay, capacity constraint or demand variability) and develop action plan.
• Provides SCM expertise in monthly Sales and Business Planning (S&BP) process which is instrumental to meet Business objectives such as sales target, forecast accuracy, service level and avoidance of write-offs.
• Responsible for reporting KPIs and tracking performance.
• Manages backorders, shortages to ensure allocations as agreed with Brand/Medical are adhered to by Customer Relations.
• Is ERP expert with SCM modules (ex: material master files, supply parameters, safety stock, production plan and purchase orders).

Role Requirements
Essential Requirements:
• Undergraduate degree in Supply Chain, CPIM or APICS certification.
• Experience in project planning, ability to multi-task: able to lead without authority, work autonomously, manage several projects simultaneously, meet deadlines, create tracking tools.
• Fully functional in various system applications: excellent MS Office skills (Excel, Word, Power Point, Big Data tools) and fully functional in SAP. Kinaxis Rapid Response an asset.
• Excellent communication skills required, ability to adapt to needs of various levels of management Initiative, self-motivation, and superior organizational and time management skills.
• Flexible and comfortable in a dynamic and changing environment.
Desirable Requirements:
• Financial background an asset
• Intermediate Bilingualism – Oral and Written: English and French
