Position Overview
The Production Manager oversees production operations. They ensure manufacturing runs smoothly and efficiently by monitoring processes and identifying areas of improvement. Their main responsibilities are to motivate employees to meet department objectives and targets, maintain a safe working environment for production staff, and ensure quality standards are met.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Oversee production operations including coaching and mentoring staff, and ensuring safe working areas and equipment.
- Ensure all staff are following established Safe Work Procedures, and Health & Safety regulations.
- Motivate employees towards achieving department targets and objectives.
- Manage production staff by training new and existing employees and assisting with conflict resolution.
- Delegate tasks equitably across production staff.
- Work closely with the warehouse team to ensure successful and accurate product transfers.
- Manage any escalations for equipment or order issues.
- Identify inefficiencies and provide suggested improvements.
- Assess production output according to proper specifications.
- Submit production reports to management.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education & Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- 3 years experience as a Production Manager or similar role is required.
- Experience using various types of manufacturing tools and equipment is required.
- Experience operating machinery (CNC, vacuum forming, hydraulic press) is an asset.
- Lean Six Sigma certification and process understanding is an asset.
- Valid drivers license and vehicle is required.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Self-motivated individual with a results-driven approach.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in Office 365 including Outlook, and Teams with the ability to work with Excel based reporting tools.

Salary
- The wage ranges from $23.00 - $26.00 per hour.
