Job description

Our client very successful wealth manager is currently looking for an Investment Advisor Assistant in the Markham area. This is an excellent opportunity for highly motivated individuals interested in developing their careers in financial services.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Assist the Portfolio Manager in preparation for and execution of client meetings.

· Solidify relationships with clients by responding to their inquiries in a professional, pleasant, and timely manner.

· Working with client portfolios, you’ll be responsible for processing financial transactions, trades, and policy changes in an accurate and timely fashion.

· Effectively manage the day-to-day operations of our office including responsibility for meeting all compliance, regulatory, and privacy policy standards.

· Assistance with administrative duties including telephone coverage, filing, photocopying, and faxing.

· Developing and implementing new marketing campaigns and projects (e.g. social media/website).

QUALIFICATIONS:

· Post-secondary degree or diploma.

· Completion of the Canadian Securities Course (CSC) is considered an asset.

· Intermediate knowledge of software, including Microsoft Office and specifically Excel.

· Experience with Goldmine Contact Management software an asset.

· Analytical and problem-solving proficiency.

· Customer service centric.

· Excellent communication skills – oral and written.

· Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and flexibility in an evolving work environment.

· Being a team player with a positive attitude is essential for success in this position.

Job Type: Permanent

Salary: $50,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
