Job description

We are assisting a well-known fabricator, installer, and distributor of reinforcement steel and products. Our client is located in East End of Ottawa and is looking for a Permanent experienced Laborer’s to work in their facility as a Machine Operator/Labourer.

Are you comfortable working outside all day in cold and hot temperatures? Do you have experience with machines, hand tools and manufacturing? Are you looking to develop [in your career and find something long term?

Advantages
-Monday to Thursday 7 AM-4:30 PM and Friday 7 AM-3:30 PM
-21.50 an hour with a raise after 500 hours, 1000 hours, and so on
- Full-time stable hours
- Overtime available, time and a half, and double time after 54 hours

Responsibilities
- Load and unload trailers
- Operate various machines such as a shear machine and a bender machine
- Handle various power tools and equipment – drills, saws, and screws
- Arrange materials in designated areas
Tagging and preparing bundles

Qualifications
- Experience in using various hand tools and equipment

-Must be comfortable working outdoors for entire shifts in cold and warm weather
- Experience and interest in operating a machine
- Must be physically fit and highly interested in doing physical labor – handling bigger materials
- Experience in working at a fabrication facility is a definite asset
- Must have experience in general labour
