Job description

Embark on a dynamic accounting journey with a leading global consultancy firm in the heart of Montréal - Ville Saint-Laurent. In this role as an Accounting Analyst, you'll have a profound impact on the financial health of our organization and contribute directly to the success of our clients.

Position: Accounting Analyst
6 month contract to start with opportunity for permanency thereafter
Shift: 8:30 to 5 / 37.5 hours per week
Hybrid, with some in-office work
Salary: 60-65k
Location: Ville Saint Laurent

Responsibilities
Intercompany transactions
Calculation of commissions/bonus for consultants
Reconcile balance sheet accounts and provide explanations of changes to prior periods

Bank reconciliation
Prepare month end journal entries (accruals)
Calculate rebates for eligible clients
Prepare monthly analysis for client executive Report
Analyze P&L and interact with field managers to answer questions related to their P&L
Participate to the validation of monthly results (GM, operational cost v/s prior month)
Perform special analysis when needed for the director or managers
Preparation of month-end results, analysis and reporting for various entities & branches
Preparation of various reports according to established timelines
Reconciliation of Government remittances
Contribute to the review and monitoring of internal controls
Support Branch Manager and Vice President of different lines of business with their P&L queries
Act as the primary contact for accounting related inquiries from various branches
Coordinating new projects and testing
Prepare sales report and GM reports
Prepare non- financial data for reporting

Qualifications
- A Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field.
- Proficiency in Excel and other Microsoft Office tools. (Vlookups, Pivot tables, Formulas)
- Familiarity with an ERP system (JDE preferred, but not mandatory).
- A strong understanding of accounting terminology and processes.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams.
