Position: Construction Estimator
Howard Little Excavating Ltd. is a locally owned Annapolis Valley company that has continued to grow over the past 45 years. We specialize in sewer, water and road construction as well as excavation for residential, commercial and industrial buildings covering Kings, Annapolis and Hants Counties. Responsibilities: • Project measurement, quantity estimation, and written quote • Preparing and securing accepted contracts for quoted works • Assist in scheduling crews and equipment • Work with site foremen and crew to assure customer satisfaction with estimated pricing • Confirm satisfaction with customer, arrange for payment with office • Quality Control
Qualifications:
1. Candidate should have a minimum of 2 years’ experience in civil construction industry 2. Candidate should have strong written and oral communication skills 3. Candidate should have the ability to read and interpret construction drawings 4. The motivated candidate should be able to equally perform alone and in a team environment 5. Candidate should have strong computer skills. Experience in GPS and CAD a definite asset. 6. Preference will be given to candidates with post-secondary education in civil or surveying related fields
