Experienced, Full-Time Event Manager [Hybrid-Toronto]
Solutions With Impact [SWI] is searching for an experienced Event Manager with passion, drive, and an unbelievable urge to change the world to make it a better place!
SWI is a highly experienced event management company with over 25 years of experience, providing event and marketing excellence to our corporate and non-profit client base.
We are looking to expand our team and need someone who is exceptionally organized, wildly creative, and has the experience to manage and execute all types of events with minimal direction.
Your Responsibilities Will Include:
Project Management:
- Lead end-to-end project management of events, including but not limited to concept development, critical path curation, budgeting, catering, entertainment, décor, transportation, marketing materials, hosting pre-event meetings, onsite execution and post-event evaluation
- Develop risk management plans for all events, anticipating client needs and preparing and presenting recommendations
Stakeholder Management:
- Nurture and build relationships with clients, sponsors, and other stakeholders
- Act as Team Lead and have direct client-facing responsibilities, including planning and hosting in-person and virtual meetings and presentations
- Manage each relationship, working closely with the team to meet all deliverables.
- Source suppliers and negotiate contracts
- Meet with key sponsors and fundraising participants to maximize their participation and support
Marketing & Promotions:
- Provide support with proposal preparation, website development and management, social media and post-creation administration for in-person and virtual events
- Assist in content creation for marketing collateral
- Assist with sponsorship acquisition, both cash and in-kind sponsors
On-Site Coordination:
· Manage on-site logistics, including set-up, volunteer/ staff delegation, and handle any unforeseen issues
- Travel individually or with the team to various cities in Canada and North America to plan and eventually execute the Company events.
Qualifications
- 3-5 Years of proven experience in event planning
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, business administration or related field or equivalent experience
- Strong communication & interpersonal skills
- Exceptional organizational skills
- Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines continuously
- Skilled in using project management tools, including MS Office Suite
- Knowledge of Canva & Adobe
- Post-Graduate Event Management Certificate is an asset
- Experience working with non-profits & foundations is an asset
- Flexibility to travel
- French is an asset
Annual Salary: CAD 70K- 75K
