Our client with over 30 years in the third party logistics industry, well known and respect company that is always seeking Business Development representatives. With a strong Operations team to support your clients needs, the sales representative will feel at ease that their clients are taken care of.

We are looking to expand to Halifax and we need someone with real experience in 3PL to lead our growth!

Responsibilities
- Generate sales leads by inside sales networking, cold-calling prospects, and building relationships as part of a coordinated sales strategy;
- Maintain relationships with existing clientele and build business internally;
- Ensure new customers and business is fostered;
- Partnering with internal operations/functional teams to create solutions based on customer needs;
- Create sales strategies by gathering market information, analyzing opportunities, and documenting sales methodology;
- Responding to client prospect inquiries by preparing responses to requests for proposals (RFP-s) and requests for quotations (RFQ-s);
- Prepare presentations and deliver to prospective clients.
Qualifications
- Willingness to learn freight brokerage sales, with a desire to grow professionally in the transport industry
- Minimum 3 years of managing accounts or sales (3PL)
- Ability to close and deliver new business
- Passion for transport industry, strong work ethic and a drive to succeed
- Hard Working. Entrepreneurial. Accountable and Pro-Active;
- Organized, detail-oriented
- Excellent follow-up skills are essential
- Ability to work in a collaborative/team environment;
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
