Job description
Our food manufacturing facility is looking for a Marketing/Sales Assistant who thrives on being busy, communicating with people on a daily basis and being highly organized.
This position plays a dual role in providing excellent Business to Business customer service/sales and establishing a strong communication link between the office, production kitchen and retail kitchen.
Excellent communication skills are required for this position. Listening to customers and employees with a keen eye to attention to detail and problem solving.
The successful candidate must be extremely organized while being flexible. You must also enjoy working with people as this is the bulk of the job.
A driver's licence and car is required as you may need to make emergency deliveries or visit our retail location at least once a week.
Duties include:
- Speaking with business owners, chef's, managers regarding sales, orders and follow through via phone, email or texts
- Staff liason - work directly with production supervisor to ensure quality assurance, production targets, timely deliveries, attend weekly production meetings
-Invoicing business to business accounts, maintaining a professional relationship - off-site calls may be required from time to time
- Assist with inventory control and purchasing when required - ensure staff have necessary tools and working equipment
- Being on call for any issues that arise on the overnight or weekend shift
- Visiting our retail location on a weekly basis to check in
