POSITION SUMMARY

We are looking for Physiotherapists (PT) to join the DBJS team. The candidate will receive hands-on training to enhance their clinical skills to an Advanced Practice Provider level to support the delivery of DBJS’ clinical care model. 

As an Advanced Practice Provider, the candidate will be responsible for consultation, physical examinations, evaluating diagnostic imaging results, determining clinical diagnosis in consultation with the Surgeon, treatment planning, and administration of conservative treatments for patients presenting for routine and urgent orthopaedic care needs.

Candidates will work directly with patients and care providers, ensuring delivery of clear communication of the patient’s care needs, monitoring the patient's medical and health progress and providing education on treatment options, as required.

The candidate’s responsibilities may vary depending on the specific needs of the patient and the support required. Additional opportunities to support program development will be assigned as the candidate’s skill set evolves.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Registration and good standing with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario, required
• Flexible with superior organization skills and the ability to work efficiently to prioritize multiple, competing tasks in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
• Ability to exercise sound judgment and discretion, make decisions and take initiative while working with confidential patient information and responding to patient inquiries
• Superior work ethic, professionalism and reliability; demonstrated commitment to providing outstanding customer service
• Superior written/oral communication skills; excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills; ability to effectively convey factual and detailed clinical findings
