We’re currently on the lookout for a skilled Product Design Manager to lead an ambitious team dedicated to elevating Automotive Accessories to new heights! As a Product Design Manager at TuxMat, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and guiding a team of industrial designers to develop innovative automotive accessories.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct research and stay abreast of current trends, consumer preferences, design innovations.
- Lead and inspire a team of industrial designers, fostering a collaborative environment.
- Provide guidance and support to ensure the team meets and exceeds design objectives.
- Drive the entire product development process from concept to production, ensuring design feasibility, cost-effectiveness, and manufacturability.
- Balance creativity with practicality, considering both user experience and manufacturing constraints.
- Create graphic documentation, presentations, and other aids to support products.
- Prepare product drawings for oversea vendors for development and sampling.
- Source manufacturers and components locally or overseas
- Review product prototype samples for fit, form, and function
- Producing detailed, final CAD drawings and specifications for approval
About You:
- 5+ years in Product/Industrial Design in Consumer Goods with a focus on leadership roles
- Proficient knowledge of design tools: Adobe Creative Suite, Illustrator & Photoshop, KeyShot, and 3D Modeling in Solidworks; 3D Scanning experience is an asset.
- Impressive portfolio showcasing a range of successful product design projects.
- Genuine interest in cars or consumer-related products.
- Understanding and application of good design principles.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proactive, self-starter who thrives in a collaborative environment.
