Site Supervisor / Crew Boss Residential Custom Renovations This position requires a combination of deep construction knowledge from excavation/foundation to finishin. We are looking for a proven leader and manager with the ability to motivate others. You are required to represent our company in the field and work closely with the PM in the office to successfully execute 3-4 projects at any given time.
You are a master scheduler and resource manager. Knowing who and where to send crew members based on your uncanny ability to know what items to priorities across multiple jobsites. You are driven to succeed with a “can do "attitude in the face of obstacles.
You are flexible and adaptable, as well as passionate about precision and high quality. RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
- Schedule crew resources daily across all active jobs site (New & warranty) with precision
- Manage multiple sites simultaneously and ensure all projects meet budget and schedule goals
- Understand and maintain a comprehensive production schedule outlining key milestones, project timelines, and delivery dates.
- Accurately convey scope of work to all crew & trades
- Expertly lead clients through an exceptional experience
- Ensure projects are built according to approved plans, specifications, shop drawings, and applicable building codes while maintaining high quality standards
- Provide clear direction to team members to ensure project targets are achieved
- Attend and provide input at project meetings with multiple stakeholders, anticipating stakeholder needs, and proactively identifying solutions to support ongoing projects
- Lead and supervise construction crews & sub-trades, ensuring adherence to safety protocols, quality standards, and project specifications.
- Review financial aspects of projects including subcontractors, materials, coding, forecasts and billings in conjunction with the Office Project Team
- Support field crew through coaching, professional development, team meetings and GSRs (Goal Setting and Review Meetings)
- Ensure all employees and trades communicate with clients in a professional and appropriate manner
- Maintain open and transparent communication with clients throughout the construction process.
- Support and maintain a motivated, healthy, and happy work environment
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional presentation of all work sites always
REQUIREMENTS: - 10+ years of experience in a Site Supervisor / Crew Lead role
- A credible track record of success
- Direct Experience with custom homes and major renovations ($1M+ budgets)
- Experience working with designers and homeowners (not just flips)
- Strong construction background in all phases of the project from demo to finish
- Solid understanding of building codes in Toronto
- Strong attention to detail
- Strong organization and time management skills
- Ability to lead and motivate trade and crew members
- Solid communication skills
- The ability to handle pressure while maintaining a high level of quality
- A valid driver's license
