Procurement Analyst

We are currently looking for a Procurement Analyst for one of our clients in the mining and metal industry.
What is in it for you:
Hourly salary of $41 to $47 based on experience.
12month contract.
Fulltime: 37.50 hours per week.
Hybrid role: 2 days per week at the office.

Responsibilities:
Extract manipulate analyze and interpret data from various procurement systems and/or platforms (e.g. SAP Ariba).
Work autonomously to prepare tender documents evaluate bids conduct business analysis participate in negotiations with suppliers and create award recommendations for contracts.
Analyze and track expenses to support teams involved in managing different categories.
Develop various tools (such as Power Apps Tools) to increase team efficiency and manage supplier performance (e.g. annual volume rebate management cost reduction idea management internal survey management).
Collaborate with the purchasing operations team and category specialists to support progress in transactional improvement.
Assist in preparing and participating in monthly meetings with preferred suppliers tracking their performance using performance indicator analysis to contribute to the development of longterm business relationships.
Identify categorygenerated savings and be responsible for tracking them within various systems.
Support the development of category strategy while maintaining clean and updated agreements with suppliers and identifying new opportunities to achieve savings.
What you will need to succeed:
Bachelors degree.
1 to 3 years of experience in procurement and supply chain.
Strong analytical and quantitative skills as well as a deep mastery of Microsoft Office (including advanced Excel skills such as pivot tables charts and complex formulas) Power Apps Tools and SharePoint.
Familiarity with SAP and Ariba.
Ability to analyze complex data drive coherent interpretations and provide recommendations contributing to strategic decisionmaking.
Experience working effectively with teams of varying hierarchical authorities to produce results.
Ability to adapt to different environments (Canada United States)
Strong written and oral communication skills.
Bilingual in English and French (spoken and written).
Effective organizational skills including time management.
Actively promote the organizations brand image by demonstrating integrity professionalism and a commitment to execution in all actions.
Ability to develop clear and uptodate procedural documentation.
