What does your day at GIP Interpaving look like? Manage projects to ensure they are constructed according to design, budget and schedule. Monitor project performance, schedule, costs, equipment, manpower, materials, equipment maintenance, safety and quality control. Interface with project team, subcontractors and related third parties. Track and submit quantities for invoicing. Prepare progress certificates and verifies supplier and sub-contractor invoicing. Monitor and inspects project site to maintain a safe work environment and provides leadership to ensure policies, procedures and standards are followed. Supervise, provide guidance, and assesses performance of direct reports and other team members. Oversee project closeout. Follow-up on bidding opportunities identified through advertisements, customers, RFQ’s, and others. Review job specifications in detail (instructions to bidders, general conditions, special provisions) as well as specifications on project drawings and soil reports. Follow up on timelines for submitted bids and update the estimating system with results. Compile various cost reports. Track substantial completion of projects and ensure reconciliation of all subcontract agreements. Maintain and build customer relations. Develop and maintain a thorough working knowledge of Interpaving Limited Health & Safety Policy Program. Perform other related duties as required. Enough about us, let’s talk about you. Civil Engineering Technician / Technology diploma considered as an asset. Three (3) years of project management experience in the construction industry. Estimating experience in the construction industry. Ability to work independently and as a team member. Knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Act and Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System and best practices within areas of responsibility. Satisfactory health, attendance, and former employment history. Must be physically capable of operating a vehicle safely, possess a valid driver's licence, have an acceptable driving record.
