Job description

At IIQAF we are a leading construction and infrastructure development company committed to delivering highquality projects for our clients. Our team is dedicated to creating safe and efficient worksites while maintaining the highest standards of quality and professionalism. We are currently seeking a highly motivated and skilled Traffic Control Laborer to join our team and contribute to the success of our projects.

As a Traffic Control Laborer you will play a critical role in maintaining the safety of our worksite and ensuring a smooth flow of traffic. You will work alongside the construction team to manage the movement of vehicles pedestrians and equipment in and around the job site. This position requires a strong understanding of traffic control procedures and the ability to follow safety protocols always.

Key Responsibilities:

Set up traffic control devices including barricades signs and cones to safely redirect traffic around the worksite

Direct and monitor the movement of traffic both vehicular and pedestrian using appropriate hand signals and communication devices

Ensure that all traffic control equipment is in good working condition and report any malfunctions or damages to the supervisor

Communicate with the construction team to coordinate the movement of equipment materials and personnel on site

Act as a lookout and warn the team of any potential hazards or safety concerns on the worksite

Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure the safety of yourself and others

Follow all safety protocols and company policies to minimize risks and accidents on the worksite

Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times and ensure that all PPE is in good condition

Assist with other constructionrelated tasks as needed

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent

Strong knowledge of traffic control procedures and safety protocols

Familiarity with traffic control equipment including signs cones and barricades

Ability to communicate effectively and follow instructions

Must be able to work outdoors in various weather conditions and physically demanding environments

Ability to stand for long periods and lift heavy objects up to 50 lbs.

Must have a valid drivers license and reliable transportation

Safetyoriented mindset and attention to detail are a must

Ability to work well in a team and independently with minimal supervision
