Position Overview
Reporting to the Director, Resident Care Services & Allied Health (i.e., PDL Lead), the incumbent will coordinate and lead the implementation and monitoring of Person-Directed Living activities as outlined by the RHC Board of Directors and Senior Leadership team and guided by the RHC Person-Directed Living Model and strategic operational plans.
Experience
- Minimum of five years’ experience working within a health care/services environment with a focus on a Person-Directed Living (PDL) philosophy and approach
- Extensive experience implementing a PDL model of care and service delivery
- Experience working in long-term care/personal care home environments
- Experience designing and delivering education for/to health care/services personnel and public audiences
- Previous experience in a recognized supervisory or lead role
- Experience applying tools and methodologies in organizational change management initiatives
- Experience with Microsoft Office suite of products including MS Teams
Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate)
- Post-secondary degree in a related field such as health sciences, health administration or a related discipline is required
- Postgraduate degree from an accredited education institution is preferred; however, an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered
Certification/Licensure/Registration
- Active member in good standing of an associated regulatory body as appropriate

This term position may end earlier as outlined in your collective agreement.
This position requires a current satisfactory Criminal Records Check (including Vulnerable Sector Search), Child Abuse Registry Check and Adult Abuse Registry Check as conditions of employment. The successful candidate will be responsible for any service charges incurred. A security check is considered current if it was obtained no more than six (6) months prior to the start of employment.

Effective April 1, 2024, Golden West Centennial Lodge will also be part of the WRHA legal entity.
