Our client is an industry-leading consulting engineering firm, located in North York, offering high-quality Mechanical and Electrical Engineering services to clients in the Commercial, Institutional, Healthcare and Residential building construction sectors. They are currently seeking a polished and ambitious Senior Mechanical Project Manager to join the team and play a large role within the organization.
Your new role
As a Senior Mechanical Engineering Project Manager, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with a variety of project stake-holders during the schematic design, design development, and construction administration phases. You will have responsibility over the design and field review of HVAC, Plumbing, and Fire Protection systems for a variety of exciting, high-profile building construction projects.
Your engineering responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to, engineering calculations, equipment selection, shop drawing reviews, responding to RFI’s, as well as developing design and construction documents. You will also be responsible for taking ownership and managing multiple aspects of your assigned projects; This would include resource allocation and putting together a project team, meeting and collaborating with clients, architects, and other engineering consultants, conducting site walkthroughs, completing construction administration and overseeing contractors’ work and progress, reviewing project submittals, mentoring and developing junior staff, managing budgets and deadlines, as well as being involved in proposal preparation and sourcing of new business.
