Eaton’s Electrical sector is currently hiring a Programs and Proposal Manager ( EV Charging & Energy Transition) to join our team. This position is based at our Vancouver, Calgary, Toronto, Montreal, Canada facility and offers benefits from Day 1.
What you’ll do:
Position Overview:
Eaton Canada is looking for a Programs & Proposals Manager to support our growing portfolio of smart breakers, smart panels & Electric Vehicle (EV) charging solutions. The Programs & Proposal Manager is responsible for managing the entire proposal and Response for Proposal (RFP) process and ensuring technical content and presentations are retained in a content management system. The Programs and Proposals Manager will also lead commercial programs with utilities and key strategic partners to support commercial goals for Electrical Vehicle Charging Infrastructure (EVCI) offering and Connected Solutions. This individual will co-ordinate with various stakeholders including product management, pricing, business development and Canadian Sales teams. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong skills around inter-personal (written and oral) communications, learning agility and project management.
Essential Functions:
Manages the entire proposal process from start to finish to ensure compliance and conformance to established strategies and plans. - Reviews incoming proposals from external and internal sources.
- Creates price proposals for proposal responses.
- Oversees vendor relationship management for third party pricing within proposal.
- Coordinates cross-functionally with other teams (i.e. marketing, sales, legal, finance, customers) for proposal response.
- Writes content and works with Subject Matter and Technical Experts to gather information.
- Writes technical proposals and related business development documentation that meets specific pre-determined deadlines.
- Provides quality assurance for formatting content, spelling, punctuation, grammar, and branding.
- Manages production, distribution, shipping/delivery, and archiving of documents through a content managements system.
- Reviews, organizes, and edits peer work as needed.
- Maintains good understanding of various utility programs for EVCI and organizes the team’s efforts in leveraging them.
- Delivers expected documentation outcomes such as Response for a Proposal (RFP), Response for a Quote (RFQ), and Response for Information (RFI).
Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or diploma equivalent in business, marketing, or engineering from an accredited institution. - Two (2) years experience working in EV Charging infrastructure or electrical industry.
- Must be able to work in the Canada without corporate sponsorship now and within the future.
Preferred qualifications:
Advanced user in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access) and Adobe Creative Suite including In Design. - Bachelor’s Degree with an emphasis on Electrical Engineering, Project Management, or Energy preferred.
- Project Management Professional (PMP)
- Master’s in Business Administration (MBA)
- Experience working with DER systems, EV Charging is a plus
