Job Title: Manager, Quality Assurance

Location: Mississauga, Ontario, Canada

Work Model: Hybrid, 2 days in-office minimum; additional occasional/or regular in-office days may be required to support your team.

What You’ll Do

• Lead projects to amend existing processes and create and enforce new processes

• Supervise all testing activities and educate junior team members on the same

• Head global projects and ensure communication of details with various stakeholders

• Develop reporting guidelines and analyze metrics to improve the efficiency and effectiveness

• Create test strategies, forecast testing cycle, manage test plans, and present inventive solutions to complex testing issues

• Review and provide resolution to escalated issues

• Collaborate with Product Managers and Scrum masters and streamline the scrum process

• Conduct exploratory testing on SOTI’s applications during the development phase

• Act as a facilitator for the testing team by keeping the team focused and clearing roadblocks

• Work collaboratively in cross-functional agile development teams

• Follow quality assurance procedures to ensure standardization and consistency in product lines

Experience You’ll Bring

• 4-7 years of experience with application quality assurance in a web-based / mobile software development environment.

• Advanced knowledge of SQL and SQL writing skills

• Demonstrated experience in mentoring and coaching junior team members and ability to lead

• In-depth knowledge of SOTI products and services

• Experience in working with two or more of SOTI’s product components

• Excellent analytical skills and ability to formulate solutions for complex problems

• Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes and basic automation skills

• Ability to inspire, visualize and lead the implementation of changes to processes

• Good understanding of web/mobile applications, web services, and databases, OSI model, and computer networking principles (TCP/IP)

• Hands-on working experience with Windows, Android, and iOS

• Experience working with commercial databases (MS-SQL) and server virtualization environments (Hyper-V, VMware) is desired

• Experience with .Net platform is an asset
