OVERVIEW: 

ATS’ Global Services team is a dynamic, change-leading team that drives the delivery of value-driven Services to our customers worldwide. Services is a growing component of the overall delivery of value to ATS’ customers globally and offers an opportunity for an opportunistic individual to create a well-defined offer structure of high-value service solutions to drive ongoing value.  

The Sales Development Leader will focus on building pipelines and for our ATS Global Service Regional businesses.  As a highly successful customer advocate and business developer, this resource will coordinate both internal and customer resources, in exceeding their customer’s expectations and ensuring they are supported by our life cycle support strategy. This position requires a candidate with a strong technical background, project management experience, customer relationship development skills and has the character to influence.

That’s why we’re seeking a qualified Sales Development Leader to find and screen high-potential customers who could benefit from our market-leading services. As the first line of communication with a prospect, the ideal Sales Development Leader has a strong understanding of the sales process and excels at researching leads, starting new relationships, and setting up Regional Business Development Leaders, Key Account Service Leaders, and Capex Account Managers for success. The Sales Development Leader should be a quick learner who has strong communication skills and an ability to showcase our offerings in a compelling way. Every potential customer has an opportunity to boost top-line revenue growth, customer acquisition levels, and profitability. 

Objectives of this role: 

-Represent ATS’ Global Service business, using comprehensive knowledge as well as costumer research to explain how our solutions meet customer needs. 

-Generate leads and build relationships by nurturing warm prospects and finding potential new sales opportunities. 

-Manage a portfolio of customers and meet exceed assigned booking targets for Recommended Spare Parts and Obsolescence programs. 

-Manage and maintain a pipeline of interested prospects and engage sales executives in next steps. 

-Identify best practices for refining the ATS sales playbook. 

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

-Utilize Salesforce and sales enablement tools, through calling campaigns, email and partnership with Sales Leaders to generate new sales opportunities. 

-Conduct customer discovery to identify the needs of prospects and introduce appropriate services solutions. 

-Build long-term, trusting relationships with prospects to qualify leads as sales opportunities. 

-Proactively seek new business opportunities in the market. 

-Set up meetings or calls between (prospective) customers and sales leaders. 

-Report to sales manager with weekly, monthly, and quarterly results. 

-Coordinate the various global after sales & service resources in successfully meeting and exceeding customer expectations. 

-Lead pro-active aftermarket interventions to ensure continuous performance improvements for ATS customers. 

-Drive new after-sales opportunities in region. 

-Become an expert on industrial automation systems, our customer’s application needs, our life cycle support strategy and our standard service products. 

-Schedule bi-weekly or monthly program reviews with the customer’s sites to review performance, open issues and update on agreed upon actions. 

-Work with the division and regional service teams to facilitate successful onsite execution to achieve on-time, on-budget, and OEE improvement goals. 

-Helps ensure the closure of outstanding after sales and service financial transactions. 

-Effectively articulate the value proposition of ATS Services to colleagues and customers. 

-Listen to and document customer feedback for distribution to the internal stakeholders. 

-Evaluate industry and market trends to help develop relevant after-sales and service solutions. 

-Ensure that all business activities are performed with the highest ethical standards and in compliance with the ATS Code of Business Conduct. 

QUALIFICATIONS: 

-A post-secondary diploma or degree in a technical field. 

-At least 3 years of experience in project management and/or service relationship management in an automated manufacturing environment.  

-Self-driven, pro-active, resourceful, tenacious, and able to influence others. 

-Fluent in English, written and oral. 

-Experienced in the use of CRM and understands its importance. 

-Possesses excellent time management skills and can coordinate multiple projects. 

-Proficient with Microsoft software tools such as Word, Excel etc.
