ROLE
The HR Generalist plays an integral role within the Corporate Services team responsible for leading the ongoing development of corporate culture, policies, and HR practises in alignment with organizational strategy to achieve business goals.
Primary responsibilities are to provide front line support across the entire organization; develop and reinforce corporate policies, procedures, and measures; embrace entrepreneurial corporate culture; communicate effectively to deliver concise information and solutions in a diplomatic and professional manner to all stakeholders.
This role is required to treat all Human Resources, payroll, and benefit information with the strictest confidentiality.
QUALIFICATIONS
5+ years applicable experience preferably in the engineering or consulting industry
Profound knowledge of employment standards, HR policies and procedures, benefit programs, and employee relations
Strong business acumen with continuous improvement mindset and in-depth understanding of changing business environment and requirements
Excellent communication and people skills with the ability to establish trust, influence, build relationships with people of diverse disciplines, levels, backgrounds, and cultures
Proven ability to analyze data, resolve issues, exercise professional judgment, and recommend sustainable solutions
Advanced skills in using HR/Payroll software and key office applications and tools
Exemplary professional with utmost ethics, integrity, and confidentiality
Team player with a positive attitude and tenacity to get the job done and make changes
Post-secondary degree in Business, Human Resources or a related field is preferred
A Certified Professional Human Recourses (CPHR) designation is an asset
