Job Description
We are looking for someone who is motivated, tenacious, eager to learn and take on a challenges to join our team in Windsor, Ontario.
Responsibilities will include: - Reading blueprints, diagrams, and schematic drawings to determine work procedures
- Installing, aligning, dismantling, and moving stationary industrial machinery and mechanical equipment, such as pumps, fans, tanks, conveyors, furnaces, and generators according to layout plans using hand and power tools.
- Operating hoisting and lifting devices such as cranes, jacks, and tractors to position machinery and parts during the installation, set-up, and repair of machinery
- Inspecting and examining machinery and equipment to detect and investigate irregularities and malfunctions.
- Installing, troubleshooting, and maintaining power transmission, vacuum, hydraulic and pneumatic systems
- Cleaning, lubricating, and performing other routine maintenance work on equipment
- Assembling machinery and equipment prior to installation using hand and power tools and welding equipment
Qualifications
- Experience working safely in a heavy industrial setting
- Job requires working indoors, outdoors, exposure to the elements
- Proficient in welding and torch cutting a must
- Able to conduct and complete scheduled Preventative Maintenance tasks and checklists
- Able to complete work orders and ensure any parts that are used are documented for reordering
- Eager to learn the proper operation and diagnostic capabilities of state-of-the-art equipment
- Able to work independently and stay focused and on-task
- Able to prioritize urgency based on production requirements
- Able to stay on task past regular scheduled hours to ensure completion
