Opportunity Details

The company are based in the West GTA, close to Pearson International airport and accessible from all major highways. They offer the freedom to predominantly work from home.

The ideal profile is a recently qualified Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA-CA or CPA) from a major public accounting firm looking to transition into industry.

Key responsibilities and oversight:

• Support periodic close activities and related reporting
• Support the Finance and Operations by providing/developing monthly reporting and analytical review
• Assists in analyzing complex accounting transactions ensuring they are appropriately accounted and documented
• Support strategic projects across operations including working with BU leaders to ensure appropriate accounting, controls and reporting are implemented
• Identify, propose and drive process improvements and efficiencies
• Assist with the groups budgeting process
• Supports the Manager, Director and SLT as required

The Company is offering a competitive compensation package including an attractive base salary, annual performance bonus. Full remuneration details will be disclosed to all candidates under consideration.

The successful candidate will possess the following:

• Chartered Professional Accountant designation (CPA-CA or CPA)
• 3+ years of progressive experience from a large public accounting firm
• Familiarity with IFRS and ASPE accounting standards
• Strong communication skills and the ability to develop productive relationships
