PORTFOLIO MANAGEMENT OFFICER

(Pay Band 4)

OPEN COMPETITION

The New Brunswick Housing Corporation is seeking an individual to join the Housing team as a Portfolio Management Officer in the Moncton area.

As a member of the Housing team, the successful candidate will be responsible for the daily administration of portfolio accounts financed or subsidized under various sections of the National Housing Act (NHA). Duties will involve activities undertaken in the monitoring of client compliance with program policies and intents, ensuring proper financial controls are in place to maintain viability of housing projects. Specific tasks will include reconciliation and control of NHA Section 95 interest assistance payments, analysis of audited financial statements and budgets, liaison on Non-Profits projects in the portfolio, which could include working with the various Boards of Directors , local groups, client representatives and other stakeholders. The incumbent will also be required to deal with various issues arising from the administration of the Portfolio Management including performing community development tasks. Regular site and project visits are required as well as frequent collaboration with the Housing NB technical services team. Attendance at annual non-profit conference is encouraged.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree with major studies in Business Administration or Commerce and four (4) years of related experience OR an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel is required.

Written and spoken competence in English and French is required. Please state your language capability.

OPERATIONAL REQUIREMENT: Candidates must have their own means of transportation within the region. Travel within and outside the region may be required.

Salary: $54,548 to $76,284 per annum
