Are you an HVAC Technician, who has interest to move out of the contracting world, to work for a manufacturer’s representative?

This HVAC Service Technician who will provide post-sales support on all manufacturers that they represent. A detail oriented, organized, and customer focused HVAC Service Technician is the type of individual that will be successful in this position.
The successful candidate's responsibilities will include: - Performing equipment startup as required.
- Performing commissioning of systems as required.
- Completing start-up reports and submitting to sales representative managing project.
- Performing on- site owner training as required for equipment sold.
- Assisting Sales with equipment trouble shooting as required.
- Attending vendor training as required. This could be within the local sales office or at the vendor’s location. Travel would be required.
- Attending office meetings as required.
- Providing consistent, knowledgeable, timely communication and support to customers, both internal and external.
- Identifying sales opportunities on projects while performing service work. Once identified, bring information to Sales for appropriate follow-up and action.
- Performing other duties as assigned by your manager.
The ideal candidate will have: - Journeyman refrigeration/HVAC technician standing with Class “A or B” gas fitter certification.
- A minimum of five years of directly related experience as a HVAC technician.
- Understanding of how to read and interpret electrical wiring diagrams and control sequences relative to today’s sophisticated HVAC equipment.
- The ability to work with minimal supervision and work well on a multi-site team.
- A valid passport and have the ability to travel within Canada and to the United States.
- A valid Driver’s License with clean abstract.
- Strong relationship building skills, especially during stressful/high-stakes issues.
- The ability to use project planning tools to convert chaotic situations into organized, well-scoped projects.
- A positive attitude, a proven track record of exemplary attendance, and a history of being a reliable team member.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Internet Explorer.
