POSITION: Administrative Assistant LOCATION: Brampton, ON - onsite 5 days/week MacDonald Search Group is a national permanent placement recruiting firm and we recruit on behalf of hiring companies.We are recruiting on behalf of a leading distributor of building products located in Brampton who are on the hunt for an Administrative Assistant to directly support the GM and the office team of 15.
This role will require someone to wear many hats given the close knit environment and handle both administrative tasks and strategic tasks (such as running reports).
This position offers growth potential and can act as a stepping stone towards sales or any other department so this role will expose someone to all facets of the business and develop an understanding of both products and customers!
This role is best suited for an individual with 0-5 years work experience - recent grads are welcome to apply!
This is an IN OFFICE position Monday to Friday from 8am-5pm. Compensation package includes base salary + profit sharing and benefits (health/dental/RRSP match).
Responsibilities: - Support the efforts of the Sales Representatives and General Manager
- Build relationships with core customers
- Enter work and sales orders as required
- Confirm and invoice orders daily; mail invoices, sort, and file documentation
- Process credit card payments, prepare & send daily credit card reports
- Enter Purchases Orders, confirm purchase receipts, and prepare invoices for payment
- Interact with vendors to confirm purchases and reconcile variances
- Process credits and debits
- Prepare and validate daily inventory cycle counts
- Analyze and submit freight invoices for payment
- Research and dispute variances and follow-up on claims
Requirements: - Post-secondary education
- Analytical skills - previous accounting experience would be an asset
- Ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner
- Takes initiative and is a self-starter with the ability to anticipate what needs to be done
- Solid customer service skills
- Excellent verbal/written communication
- Team player
- Organized, uses time efficiently
- Strong computer skills - intermediate level Excel skills and previous experience using Salesforce is an asset
