Computer Technician Required ~ Lethbridge County Area

Location: Palliser Central Office

Anticipated Start Date: March 6 , 2024

Assignment: Computer Technician

FTE: 1.0 FTE (40 hours per week)

Palliser School Division has an opening for a permanent full-time Computer Technician to offer technical, school-based support to Palliser schools and is based out of our Central Office location in Lethbridge, AB. This position will commence March 6, 2024 or when a suitable candidate is found, and at a date mutually agreed upon between the successful applicant and the employer.

Benefits:
This position entitles the successful candidate to qualify for Alberta School Employee Benefit Plan (ASEBP) coverage.

Responsibilities:
The successful candidate must be proficient in troubleshooting, technical support, and computer user training.

Experience & Qualifications:
Successful candidate will have experience in Google Workspace, Windows services, wired and wireless network environments;

A diploma or degree in Computer Science or a related discipline is preferred for this position.

Skills and Competencies:
Must have excellent networking skills;

A deep understanding of Windows, ChromeOS, MacOS, IOS, and Android Operating systems;

Strong communication and interpersonal skills combined with the ability to create positive relationships and establish rapport;

Trustworthiness and integrity;

Ability to work collaboratively in a team situation;

In order to maintain a safe and secure working environment, applicants new to The Palliser School Division must provide:

Criminal Record Check, including vulnerable sector check from Local Police Service or RCMP detachment (dated within 3 months of contract start);

Social Insurance Number (SIN) card or document issued by Service Canada; SIN card/document must be in current legal name. Name on SIN card/document must match your Government Issued ID and Criminal Record Check;

Government issued ID - valid driver's license, valid passport or Nexus card.
