Project Engineering Manager, Staff - High Speed Serdes IP Synopsys is looking for an adaptable, passionate, and resourceful Project Engineering Manager. The position is for a Mixed-Signal Semiconductor Intellectual Property Project Engineering Manager. The mandate is to manage one or multiple MSIP projects from concept to customer delivery. You are involved with the development of SERDES PHY IP at all stages of the product life cycle.
Key Responsibilities: - Manages the development and implementation process of internal engineering products and services involving cross-functional design teams.
- Drives and directs engineering teams in strategic and tactical aspects which includes defining IP product roadmap in collaboration with R&D and Marketing
- Identifies needed resources to achieve timely deliverables; identifies and escalates issues
- Drives problem resolution through fact-based judgment
- Manages risk and change from conception to delivery
- Defines, promotes, implements and improves team and cross-functional engineering processes and practices
- Take part in pre/post-sales support with Sales, Marketing, Customer Support, and IP Program Management teams
Requirements: 5+ years of related experience and an Engineering Degree
- Possess a full understanding of integrated circuit design and design verification
- Familiarity with the development process for ASIC designs
- Performs in project leadership role
- Customarily exercises autonomous judgment in selecting methods and techniques to obtain solutions
- Provides regular updates to management and customers on project status
