About the Position
The Quality Assurance Supervisor will prepare and participate in regulatory GMP Audits. They will lead internal plant inspections per division requirements. They will also be the PCQI Coordinator making sure the Food Safety Program is maintained current, control points being managed, risk assessments and verifications are accurate and up to date. The Quality Assurance Supervisor will also provide Quality Food Safety trainings to new hires, contractors, and refresher training as needed while maintaining training records. This person will also coordinate the Pest Control Program which includes following up on recommendations and Corrective Actions. This person will also work in conjunction with CFIA and Feed Assure for external audits, and regulatory inspections as required. This person will be in charge of the HACCP program and lead any and all HACCP meetings and trainings as required.

• Knowledge of applicable regulatory requirements
• SQF Practitioner
• Knowledge of FSMA preferred
• Effective use of Microsoft Office applications
• Strong interpersonal skills to lead, coach, build consensus and lead change among a team of production/sales/quality colleagues
• Strong analytical problem solving/root cause analysis skills
• Proactive and results oriented
• Highly organized
• Team player

Education or Work Experience

• BS Degree in Feed Science or related experience AND/OR 3+ years in quality experience in feed/food

Additional Information

• Up to 10% travel and overnight travel may be required.
• Work in accordance with local/provincial legislation
• Understands and is accountable for full compliance with safety and other EHS requirements
