Notified is hiring a Pricing Manager in Toronto. The office address is 155 University Avenue. This position will offer a hybrid work schedule; Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday in the office with the option of working remotely on Monday & Friday.
About the position The Pricing Manager is responsible for supporting pricing execution by partnering with leaders and staff across multiple functions to identify areas of recommendations, and provide price opportunity, lead data and market driven analytics to support price decisions, develop pricing improvement execution support. This role provides critical commercial support and will assist with the development, execution, and management of pricing strategy and simplification.

Responsibilities Pricing Analysis
- Support the development of pricing for new products, as well as the sunset of obsolete or legacy product lines.
- Create financial models to analyze and forecast the impact to product and portfolio profitability of proposed pricing actions.
- Institute new techniques, systems, and best practices in price modeling, value-based pricing, pricing execution, and data (predictive) analytics and reporting.
- Lead or support ad hoc research projects incorporating project design, data collection and analysis, summarization of findings, and presentation of results.
- Develop and support other complex models, analysis, and reporting related to pricing, profitability, and cash flow projections. These include delivering impact & sensitivity models, revenue maximization, FX and pricing model recommendations.
- Act as subject matter expert on pricing and analytical topics.
Commercial Management
- Measure & report on the performance of pricing models.
- Respond to pricing exception requests with thoughtful and timely recommendations which demonstrate sound business judgement.
- Define and launch new pricing governance and processes to improve efficiency and effective of pricing and quoting processes.
- Develop and release new and updated pricing and associated guidance/delegation to the Sales team.
- Developing and maintaining support processes & tools, including ownership of internal pricing resources for sales, governance, performance, and pricing documentation
- Ongoing change management and implementation needed to maintain all line items & regional price points across all solutions.
Competitive Intelligence
- Analyze competitive brands product pricing & packaging to identify opportunities & threats.
- Compile and evaluate competitive data and develop and marketplace reports to influence product line, segment, customer, and business unit decision making.
Communication & Reporting
- Consult with business leadership to ascertain strategic goals and support the business in developing strategic choices.
- Cultivate relationships and collaborate with cross-functional partners to shape, support, and execute goals.
- Generate regular reports and present to key stakeholders.
- Review existing reports to understand business unit needs and areas of opportunity.
- Collaborate with the Business Intelligence team to establish standard reporting forms, dashboards, and charts.

- Ability to synthesize large amounts of information, identify trends and issues, recommend solutions proactively, and apply problem-solving and analytical expertise
Qualifications - Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university required with major course work in economics, computer science, accounting, or a related field preferred. Equivalent work experience in a similar position may be substituted for education requirements.
- 3-5 years’ experience in an analytical or commercial focused role
- Preference for candidates with a background in communications and/or SaaS based solutions
- Highly analytical individual with accounting or statistics background
- Experience with sensitivity modelling and pricing analysis
- Adept at MS Excel and Word
- Strong stakeholder management skills to influence to decision making and drive outcomes
- Strong communications skills to support sales education and enablement on our pricing and packaging
- Travel typically less than 10%. Office environment. No special physical demands required.
