Field Service Technician:
Our client is searching for a Field Service Technician to hold a pivotal position within their multidisciplinary operations team. This is a hands on role that primarily focuses on post-sales customer support, encompassing a wide range of technical and administrative responsibilities. A successful candidate will have the unique opportunity to be a beacon of technical expertise in their instrumentation and electrical service program, all while showcasing exemplary leadership and administrative prowess.
Your success will be defined by your ability to: - Take charge of post-sale support concerning all instrumentation and electrical issues in various products
- Maintain and repair a broad range of equipment, including electric generators, SCADA systems, solar panels, and more
- Oversee field commissioning, routine servicing, and complex repairs
- Offer crucial feedback to our engineering and design teams to foster continuous product improvement
- Efficiently manage projects, ensuring optimal resource allocation, adherence to schedules, and cost effectiveness
- Liaise with different internal departments, ensuring seamless coordination for all activities
- Facilitate rigorous testing and commissioning for new units
- Deliver remote client technical support, helping troubleshoot issues in real time
- Engage in prototype development, testing, debugging, and quality control
- Collaborate with external stakeholders to drive product quality and address concerns
- Act as a mentor and guide for colleagues, nurturing their professional and technical growth
- Maintain meticulous records, ensuring all documentation meets the client’s standards
- Efficiently manage work requests and maintain a comprehensive parts inventory
- Set the benchmark for methods, tools, and practices for the field I&E team, ensuring alignment with corporate standards
Your strengths include: - Instrumentation or electrical journeyman ticket is an asset
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in the I&E field services, specifically in industrial settings
- In-depth knowledge of power generation mechanisms
- Proficiency in understanding engineering documentation and managing project timelines
- Strong competency in Microsoft Office tools and excellent communication abilities
- A proactive approach, capable of managing diverse tasks under pressure
- A knack for establishing and nurturing professional relationships
- Familiarity with ISO 9001 & 9002 standards
