We’re looking for a qualified, part-time (0.40 FTE)
Assisted Living Worker to join our Village team. If you are a strong team player, then we’d like to hear from you!
The successful candidate will have related experience and has a passion for providing high quality care and support for seniors.
We are looking for someone who: - Provide personal care services to residents such as bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, mobility and hygiene related duties as established in the individualized personal service plan;
- Respond to scheduled and unscheduled requests from residents for assistance;
- Participate in social and recreational programs, including group activities, outings, special event and opportunities for socialization;
- Perform housekeeping, laundry and dietary duties tasks;
- Assist with dining room preparation and meal service and tray service to resident rooms as required;
- Interact with residents, guests and staff in a courteous and respectful manner;
- Complete required documentation;
- Acts as a positive and constructive team player, creating exceptional customer experiences;
- Follow security and infection control policies and procedures; and,
- Perform other duties as assigned.
The successful candidate will meet the below qualifications - Current registration and in good standing as a Health Care Assistant with the British Columbia Care Aide and Community Health Worker Registry (BCCACHWR);
- Certificates in First Aid and Food Safe preferred;
- Effective communication, interpersonal and organizational skills;
- Ability to work independently and as a team-player;
- Physically capable of lifting up to 10kgs;
- Proven computer experience;
- Successful clearance of a vulnerable sector-criminal record check
- Negative TB Skin Test; and,
- Proof of full COVID-19 vaccinations or approved exemption for an accommodation based on a reason related to human rights
Compensation: The $28.74 per hour start rate for this position currently falls under provincial wage-levelling.
