Job Description: The Utilization Coordinator will report directly to the Director, Acute Care Southwest. The Utilization Coordinator will be accountable for ensuring safe patient care across the continuum by the best utilization of resources both human and bed availability and in accordance with established policies. The Utilization Coordinator will work in a team approach with all the Health Services departments and managers in providing enhanced services to clients.
Required Qualifications

Bachelor Degree/Diploma in Nursing
Registered or eligible for registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Saskatchewan (CRNS)
Experience
Minimum of five (5) years experience with demonstrated competency in an acute care setting.

A combination of clinical leadership and/or relevant educational experience is preferred.

ACLS would be an asset Previous experience in critical care work would be an asset.
The Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA) requires a criminal record check (CRC) from every potential SHA team member.
