Job description

Brunel is currently seeking an HR Assistant to work for a major global engineering and construction service provider firm, being one of our major clients. It will be expected from the successful candidate to enhance performance and effectiveness while providing general support to other colleagues within HR department and to HR Managers. The role is located in Calgary, AB. Responsibilities: Responsible for job posting and coordinate with hiring managers and recruitment companies Determine applicant qualifications by filtering applications, prescreening interviews; analyzing responses; verifying references; and comparing qualifications to specific job requirements to ensure complete accuracy before presenting to management. Acting as the first point of contact for all working employees and liaising with various department heads monthly by verifying personal information, creating, coordinating, delegating offer letters to be signed. Complete the onboarding of new employees, prepare hire-on package, employee orientation, explaining the company policies and procedures. Coordinate immigration processes for employees coming from abroad. Responsible in monitoring time sheets, overtime, vacation, temporary leave of absence and employee profiles in SAP and Time Control app. Coordinate with third parties for the HSE documents and trainings required by staff and visitors. In charge of Corporate Training Program for the training request, approval, withdrawal and completion. Coordinate with Drug& Alcohol test center for schedule of D&A test for new hires and other employees to access construction sites. Prepare offer letters, hiring proposals, employment contracts, amendments. Maintain an effective filing system for employee files and confidential documents and electronic files in HR drive. Maintains confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential. Collaborate in corporate event organization. Completes projects assigned, following up on results. Coordinate and assist staff with HR problems and concerns Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. Perform other related duties as required Requirements: College or University Degree from a related discipline Minimum of 3 years in HR or Administrative role Experience working in SAP and/or Avanti Communicative, well organized and diligent individual Relevant Canadian certificate would be an asset
