Therapy Assistant - Cortellucci Hospital

Full-time Therapy Assistant Outpatient Mental Health Position, M-F 8 AM to 4 PM, 37.5 hours per week

POSITION SUMMARY:

We are currently seeking a Therapy Assistant to work at the new Cortellucci Vaughan Hospital in the outpatient adult mental health Stepping Stones program. As a member of the multi-disciplinary health care team, the Therapy Assistant will mainly collaborate with the program’s Occupational Therapist(s) and Recreational Therapist in the provision of therapeutic services.

As the successful candidate, you are a graduate of a recognized Certificate or Diploma program from an “accredited community college” such as OTA/PTA, Recreational Therapy, Social Service Worker. One year of work experience in a mental health setting would be an asset. You demonstrate excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills, both written and verbal, along with a high level of initiative and adaptability to rapidly changing demands.
