Position Summary

Kelowna General Hospital has an immediate relief full time Physiotherapist opening. This position is to provide coverage until August 2024, or the return of incumbent.

Physiotherapists play a crucial part in providing assessment, treatment planning and implementation, program planning, consultation, equipment prescription and education to patients and/or their caregivers. Operating within a client-centered approach and as an essential member of our interdisciplinary team, you make a substantial contribution to promote functional independence and enable patients to achieve and maintain optimal health outcomes.

KGH is a tertiary referral hospital and offers high-level, specialty medical care including 24 hour emergency and trauma services, ambulatory and outpatient clinics, and diagnostic/paramedical services. Specialty services include adult and adolescent psychiatry, outpatient nutrition, patient care quality officers, and cardiac surgery. This position is in Acute Care with a one in five week-end rotation.

Orientation includes dedicated time for online learning of Interior Health processes, 1:1 time with the practice lead, job shadowing of all team members and other orientation or experiential opportunities identified by the employee. This position is suitable for a new graduate or a seasoned therapist.

Qualifications

• Current registration with the College of Physical Therapists of British Columbia (CPTBC).
• Valid BC Driver’s license where required.
