Job description
Accountability
- Application Development: Design, develop, and deploy ServiceNow applications aligned with the project goals.
- Requirements Gathering: Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and understand requirements for effective solution design.
- Integration: Integrate ServiceNow with existing systems, ensuring seamless data flow and functionality.
- Training and Support: Provide training, documentation, and technical support to internal teams and end-users.
- Bug Resolution: Troubleshoot and resolve bugs, defects, and issues in ServiceNow applications.
- Code Review: Conduct thorough code reviews to maintain coding standards, security, and scalability.
- Documentation: Create comprehensive documentation of application design, processes, and configurations.
Responsibility
- Work in close alignment with O&M IT team to establish IT processes for request, change, incident and problem management.
- Demonstrate excellent time management and prioritization skills
- Demonstrate thorough understanding of ITIL processes and Service Now.
- Has excellent communication and documentation skills
- Design, develop, and deploy ServiceNow applications that align with our public transit upgrade project goals.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, identify needs, and propose effective solutions.
- Provide training, documentation, and technical support to internal teams and end-users.
- Create and maintain detailed documentation of application design, processes, and configurations.
- Stay updated with the latest developments in ServiceNow and apply best practices to projects.
Experience
- Proven experience as a ServiceNow Developer, preferably in complex projects or enterprise-level environments.
- Proficiency in JavaScript and experience in developing ServiceNow applications using scripting.
- Strong understanding of web technologies such as HTML, XML, and CSS for designing user-friendly interfaces.
- Ability to integrate ServiceNow with various systems through API integrations.
- Hands-on experience configuring ServiceNow's ITSM service catalog and related modules.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong communication skills to interact with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Certifications or Designations
- ServiceNow Administrator certification is required.
- ITIL certifications are preferred

- Specialist domain knowledge of IT Service Management.
- General knowledge of IT Networks, Cyber Security, Cloud and application development.

- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to collaborate effectively within a team.

Education
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
