Material Planner Co-op Student

Job description
This Co-op position assists with coordinating, planning and expediting the flow of materials, parts and assemblies between departments according to production and shipping schedules.
Duration is 4, 8 or 12 months starting May 6, 2024
- Performs data entry with ERP system (SAP), as well as excel.
- Creates production orders based on material flow and department production schedules.
- Enter information into master schedule to ensure proper scheduling of jobs and projects for fabrication and assembly.
- Communicate with other departments to ensure delivery dates are met and issues are resolved.
- Issue releases and requisitions to order material.
- Determines amount of material required to complete job orders.
- Confirms material delivered to production departments to verify quality and specifications.
. Performs other duties as directed.
On Site working in an office with some tasks that require time spent in a manufacturing environment requiring personal protective equipment (e.g. eye protection, foot protection, hearing protection)
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and Teams.
- SAP Experience would be an asset
• Excellent communication, problem solving and organizational skills.
- Currently enrolled in a post-secondary program in Supply Chain, Manufacturing Engineering, Business Administration or related field.
- Strong work ethic, r eliable, p ositive attitude
- Ability to work under pressure with time constraints
- Ability to multitask, prioritize and manage time effectively
