Under the direction of the Senior Storekeeper, Storekeeper III, or Central Stores Warehouse Supervisor, will perform warehouse duties including shipping, receiving, inventory management and reclaim functions. Will be required to complete rotational training within all areas of the Materials Management. May be required to accept work assignments within other sections of the Materials Management Department based on operational need.
Responsibilities:
- Perform functions related to materials management, including shipping, issuing orders, receiving, and inventory audits in compliance with Materials Management and Corporate procedures to ensure material handling best practices are followed.
- Perform and process SAP functions utilized for materials management such as MMBE, IQ09, LT01, LT24, ME23N, LM00, LS24, LT06, LT11, MB1A, MB1B, LU04, and MIGO.
- Ensure completion of all documentation for shipping, receiving, and reclaim are completed on time and accurately while adhering to Federal and Provincial regulations and practices related to WHMIS, Workplace Safety & Health Act, Hazardous Material Disposal (HAZMAT) and the Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG).
- Ensure inventory accuracy for all warehouse functions is maintained; this includes, matching physical items vs SAP documents for shipping, complete goods receipts for new materials received, noting shortages and damages for receiving, and accounting for material in all storage location and providing accurate counts for inventory audits.
- Responsible for the control and security of inventory at all Materials management facilities.
- Adhere to all applicable Safe Work Procedures (SWP's) and Lifesaving Rules ensuring that duties performed comply with corporate safety, security, and environmental requirements.
- Report any incidents or situations that may be unsafe, harmful to the environment or in violation of corporate security or regulatory requirements to their supervisor or delegate.
- Assist with the creation of training documents and for the training and mentorship of junior or new staff.
- Consult with Storekeepers throughout the enterprise regarding the movement of apparatus and equipment from Materials Management inventory.
- Respond to requests and inquiries from field staff, ensuring a high level of customer service is maintained in all communications.
- Conduct daily inspections and ensure safe operation of material handling equipment.
- May be required to perform the duties of the storekeeper III in their absence.
Qualifications:
- Minimum Grade 12 education with minimum two-years of progressively complex experience in the materials management field along with two-years' experience of related SAP transactions and processes.
- Required to obtain certification in various classes of material handling equipment, including but not limited to; three classes of forklift, Pettibone, floor washer, and skid steer.
- Advanced knowledge of supply management including inventory control practices and procedures.
- Physically capable of safely performing the principal duties of this position including ability to lift/carry a maximum of 50 lbs frequently throughout the day.
- Required to work inside and outside in all weather conditions.
- Certified in the Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG), Workplace Hazard Material Information System (WHMIS), First Aid, CPR.
- Demonstrated commitment to personal learning and development with a willingness to keep abreast of current trends in the principles of material handling and warehousing.
- Familiar with electrical and gas apparatus, transmission, and distribution type material.
- Must possess a valid Class 5 Manitoba Motor Vehicle Driver's License
Salary Range
Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. The range for the classification is $23.98 - $31.51 Hourly, $45,942.26- $60,371.22 Annually.
