Maintenance Mechanic (Manufacturing) - $38.38 per hour – Surrey, BC

What is the job?
- Reporting to the Plant Manager, and taking daily direction from the maintenance lead, this position is responsible for installing, maintaining and repairing machinery in both the Block and Dry Mix production facilities.
- This position is responsible for supporting and demonstrating the Core Values of Integrity, Safety, Respect, Customer Focus, Quality, Innovation and Financial Success. Performs other related duties as assigned.
- Repairs, maintenance, and preventative maintenance on plant machinery.
- Other ad hoc duties as required.
What do you bring to the job?
- Millwright, Metal Fabricator, CWB certified Welder experience is required.
- Red Seal certification is an asset
- Relevant experience in machinery maintenance and welding in a comparable industrial setting is required.
- Must have strong communication, interpersonal, teamwork and decision-making skills.
- Candidate is required to have a high level of mathematical and problem-solving skills.
- Able to adapt and think quickly in continuous improvement environment.
- Ability to use and operate a personal computer. Working knowledge of industrial electricity is an asset.
- Ability to operate a forklift, shop tools, hand tools, multi meter and any other equipment required to perform duties.
- Must be able to demonstrate commitment to safety and ability to work safely under all conditions.
- Must be reliable and a Team Player.
- Comfortable with a pre-employment physical examination.
