Job description

Our client, a wholesaler & distributor of products in North america with a branch in Asia that is looking for a senior Controller to manage his accounting department. the controller will work with a small team , not afraid to be hands on on more complex issues in relations to credit , AP or trans border issues when needed. We are looking for a leader that inspires confidence and is able to deal with accounting operations issues one minute and strategic issues the next. If you are a senior CPA who is used to dealing with all sorts of issues , able to keep calm during the sorm this is for you.
100% on-site is required * only local candidates will be considered ** must reside already in the greater montreal area
Must be bilingual with a strong english
CPA
** This is a 6 figure position**

Responsibilities
Ensure compliance with accounting standards and oversee financial reporting.
Manage tax matters and provide decision-making support to management.
Forecast and monitor financial performance.

Negotiate credit facilities and process payments.
Monitor accounts, review past due balances, and assist with collections.
Audit payroll records and ensure compliance with standards.
Collaborate on employee benefit packages and salary guidelines.
Coordinate IT resources and provide guidance on system functionality.
Review financial statements and payroll for accuracy and address operational issues as necessary.

Qualifications
Must be a CPA
with 5-7 years of experience in similar role
bilingual ( Fr-Ang)
Strong IT inclination
Experience in working with an ERP such as ( SAP, Oracle, Dynamics, Netsuite )
