Are you looking to be a key player that drives changes? Our client, a large food manufacturer just outside of London, ON is looking for a Senior Financial Operations Manager. This individual will provide excellent operational and strategic finance leadership for operations. This position is a key partner to the Plant Manager, providing direction in establishing strategic decisions, business priorities, opportunities for operational improvement, and financial objectives for the organization.
Sr Financial Operations Manager details:
· Monday to Friday Onsite*
· Salary $150,000 - $160,000*
· Four weeks vacation
· Benefits from day one*
·20% bonus plan in place*
· RRSP 4%
Sr Financial Operations Manager Qualifications
- · Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in finance, Financial Operations, or a related field.
- · Designated CPA is a definite asset.
- · Minimum 10 years in the Manufacturing industry. *Preferably in Food Manufacturing.
- · Cost accounting experience in a standard costing environment
- · Proficient in financial software applications Strong ERP knowledge (planning, design, development, testing, deployment, and support.)
- · Deep financial, data mining, and modeling expertise in a manufacturing environment
- · Exceptional MS Office skills with expertise in Excel (pivot table analysis, charts and visualization, v-lookup, Conditional formatting)
- · Strong strategic and analytical skills with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
- · Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- · Excellent leadership skills with the ability to mentor staff and delegate responsibilities
- · Ability to supervise and manage multiple functions and activities.
- · Flexibility for weekend and extended hours
Sr Financial Operations Manager Responsibilities
- · Proactively identify & lead analysis of operational and financial data to provide insights into business performance and drive consistency in performance across plants and functions
- · Collaborate with functional leaders to aid in financial modeling, analysis and development of budgets including operational expenses, OH spend, KPIs, product costing, cost savings, special projects, and capital planning
- · Prepare monthly financial presentations for management and effectively communicate results
- · Investigate significant trends/variances for cost reduction regarding material, labor, overhead, and other types of costs related to manufacturing products
- · Prepare and analyze weekly KPI metrics scorecard, including validation and reconciliation of variances to standards, budgets and forecasts
- · Manage daily cost accounting requirements and ensure all deadlines are met by working with cross functional teams in developing costs of new items, validating accuracy, and entry of data into reporting systems
- · Evaluate business controls and processes impacting manufacturing and inventory, and work with management to implement and improve controls as needed
