Job Description

Mission

We are looking for a Collection Credit Counsellor to join our Finance team. The Collection Credit Advisor will work closely with various stakeholders in the company and will be able to make a significant contribution based on their experience.

We offer a flexible hybrid work arrangement allowing you to work from both our Laval office and from home.

Primary Responsibilities

• Obtain payment confirmation, send non-payment notices to clients with overdue balances, and respond to account inquiries.
• Keep collection comments up to date in the system
• Collaborate with project managers and project accountants
• Reconcile accounts with the help of the Payment Application Team
• Participate in meetings to provide an update on the status of problematic client accounts
• Issue receipts
• Process account opening or credit review requests; check references and credit information
• Analyze the credit of new and existing accounts by applying the credit policy

Qualifications

• College diploma (DCS) in accounting or a related field
• Three years of experience in perception
• Problem-solving and analytical skills
• Very good knowledge of the Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Proficiency in spoken and written French and English; Bilingualism is an essential requirement for this position in order to communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders, including our clients, partners, and cross-sector teams nationwide
