The opportunity:
Reporting to the Student Registration and Records Supervisor, the Advising Assistant provides administrative support to the Academic Advisors, front office staff, and to students who visit the Faculty of Arts Student Services Office. In addition, the Advising Assistant supports the Records Supervisor with the coordination of day-to-day activities and monitors the performance of the summer staff. This position provides information, advice and clarification of degree requirements and related University and Faculty of Arts regulations, policies and procedures to students so they are able to make informed choices regarding their academic careers. The incumbent also explains and interprets faculty regulations and policies to departments, other faculties and administrative offices who may require advice and assistance.
