Job description

Are you an experienced Civil Draftsperson wanting to join a brand-new, leading-edge division engineering service being offered by a well-established civil construction company? Berto Contractors has an opportunity for a Level 2 CADD Technician that is looking to challenge the status quo by offering clients designs, planning and permits with constructability in the forefront! After 30 years in the civil construction industry, we have identified anomalies with the current designs and permits. Our future path is to plan, develop and create permits with in-field knowledge to ensure functionality, efficiency, and cost-effective execution.

An ideal candidate for this position will tick all the boxes,

• Have a minimum of 3 years of working experience in construction drafting
• Able to conduct in-depth design analysis & research alternative solutions
• Have excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Be a self-starter with a desire to develop this division of services with an entrepreneurial mindset
• Have a background in telecommunications, MS Visio, Auto-Cad and utility design
• Previous experience with digitizing plans in all formats, forecasting schedule and permit cycles
• Has excellent time and project coordination skills
• Able to meet strict deadlines and meet clients expectations
• Considered a BONUS to have had previous experience with Spatialnet, ARC GIS, Fiber Network Management Software (ESRI, OSP Insight) and/or BuilderTrend.
