We are recruiting on behalf of a market-leading company located in the North GTA, this is a hybrid in office (3 days)/WFH role, location is easily accessible from major highways They are currently seeking a progressive, Big 4 qualified Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) with supervisory experience in a Controllership/Accounting team.
Key responsibilities and oversight:
· Oversee the general ledger, month-end, and year-end closing procedures
· Review balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring discrepancies are proactively resolved
· Provide analysis and related commentary on key financial indicators including historical comparisons
· Collaborate with the other finance groups supporting planning and forecasting functions
· Strive for consistent process improvement through more efficient use of software/systems and development of processes and controls
· Coach and develop a team, fueling their growth and overall team performance
· Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure accurate financial information flow
· Implement new policies and procedures, driving continuous improvement

The successful candidate will possess the following:
· Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation.
· 5+ years of progressive experience in public accounting or industry
· 2+ years experience leading a team and directly supervising a team
· Strong experience in a high transaction volume environment
· Track record of leadership, developing staff, driving projects and initiatives
· High proficiency and use of technology to support key findings
· Excellent communication and written skills
