POSITION: Assistant Product Manager REPORTS TO: Product Manager
We are looking for an Assistant Product Manager to join our Product Management team. This position has been created to leverage the talents of professionals with an interest in pursuing a managerial career in consumer-packaged goods and product management. This role will work alongside the Product Manager and cross-functional teams to assist in the development and launch of new products and the management of existing products in our family of healthy food brands.

In this role, you will contribute to the completion of product management projects to meet tight deadlines with a high degree of attention to detail. You will have the opportunity to work with a collaborative and creative team across all departments such as Marketing, Product Development, Sales, Business Development, Procurement, Operations, Quality Assurance, Regulatory Compliance, Logistics, Inventory Management, Customer Service, and Finance. You will have the chance to assist in the efficient execution of various product launch and maintenance activities for the Silver Hills, Little Northern Bakehouse, and Private Label brands of healthy foods.

EXPERIENCE & SKILLS
- Post-secondary education in a relevant field.
- 2-4 years of professional experience in food or other CPG industries in Product Development, Product/Category Management, Innovation and Insights, Marketing, Sales, Supply Chain, Project Management, Product Design, Packaging, Manufacturing, or related field.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Ability to create effective presentations, including spreadsheets, tables, charts, that clearly illustrate metrics, challenges, and opportunities to various levels of the organization.
- Experience with Project Management Software (e.g. Wrike, Asana, MS Project or similar).
NICE TO HAVE
- Experience in Business Analytics Software such as Power BI.
- Formal training and/or certifications in project management or product management.
THINGS YOU WILL DO…
- Monitor the project management, development, and execution process with internal & external stakeholders to ensure on-time and on-strategy delivery of new products and updates to existing products as part of portfolio maintenance.
- Assist new product and packaging introduction by planning, coordinating and effectively communicating product and packaging launches.
- Work with internal stakeholders to track and manage changes to packaging and associated BOMs.
- Assist the Product Manager in organizing product roadmap documents to ensure senior leadership alignment to the project strategy by gathering information from external and internal stakeholders.
- Assist the Product Manager in the analysis of product P&Ls, project metrics, product trends, and maintenance of the department dashboard to drive informed strategic decisions.
- Create impactful PowerPoint presentations for the Product Manager, contributing essential insights to support strategic objectives.
- Assist the Product Manager, when required, in preparing for Strategy Sessions & Business reviews using financial reporting and internal databases.
- Assist the Product Manager in product related data analysis to identify key trends, applying critical thinking to dissimilar problems and deliver fact supported analysis and recommendations.
- Maintain all product grid and product specification documents.
- Respond to all product-related enquiries from internal and external stakeholders.
- Responsible for the uploading and tracking of data in internal systems.
- In the absence of the Product Manager, chair the cross-functional new product launch meetings and other stakeholder meetings.
- Other duties as assigned.
