Jensen Hughes, a worldwide Consulting, Engineering and Compliance firm is looking for a motivated and well-spoken inside sales representative to join our global Fire and Life Safety team in our Burnaby, BC office location and cover Western Canada and the Pacific Northwest. The candidate will be responsible for Identifying and developing new leads/opportunities, communicating with clients, understanding their needs, connecting those needs to our services, and ensuring a smooth sales process. This candidate is expected to be able to retain long term relationship clients while expanding services, close sales, and meet sales targets.

Our goal is to hire a candidate that is eager to expand our Fire and Life Safety service lines through existing clients, with new sales, and identify additional opportunities for global company wide growth. The candidate will make use of skills in communication and sales to highlight the advantages of our services in the existing market/s.

This will be a full time salaried position.

• Develop sales opportunities by exploring and identifying potential accounts, soliciting new accounts, building rapport, providing some technical information and explanations of our service, and preparing proposals in collaboration with the technical team.
• Communicating with Clients, making outbound calls to potential customers, and following up on leads/opportunities
• Answering potential customers' questions and sending additional information as needed
• Creating/maintaining relationships, while managing existing clients accounts, support retaining existing services for renewal, and identify value added opportunities.
• Support the Business Development and Operations team with a general understanding of current pipeline and help the team move proposals through the pipeline by closing orders.
• Regularly maintain sales data of current and potential customer, pipeline, orders, and projects/contracts up for renewal or phase II project work
• Explaining and demonstrating services and how they meet the prospect/existing client’s needs, understand when to engage operations and subject matter experts to support the business development
• Keeping up with industry standards and updates, as well as staying informed about competing firms as and identifying risks within existing clients
• Proactive planning and support around support annual growth initiatives

• Bachelor's degree preferred, and/or two (2) plus years’ experience as an Inside Sales Representative.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power point and Outlook required. Experience with Microsoft Dynamix preferred.
• General knowledge and confidence using computer databases and menu driven reports.
• Self-starter who works well independently and is self-motived, with bias for action.
• Project coordination and organizational skills, attention to detail, and initiative to follow-through
• Maintain effective performance in a demanding environment.
• Work with minimal supervision and in a team environment.
• Exceptional Customer Service and strong listening skills.
• Able to look at things multidimensionally and able to come to a unique and innovative plan or solution if problem is identified.

The approximate base salary for this position is $60,000 - $90,000. Please note that the salary range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting and not a guarantee of compensation. Final compensation may vary based on factors, including but not limited to, responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, geographic location, internal equity, alignment with market data.
