Job description
RSG International is a North American leader in the road safety sector, formed by combining industry-leading road safety businesses across North America. This includes Powell Contracting, Pivot Safety Products, the Northward Group, B&K Enterprises, and Dimensional Products.
Reporting to the CFO, the
Data Analyst will be responsible for collecting, processing, and analyzing market, operational, and financial data to extract valuable insights and support RSG International’s decision-making processes.
Responsibilities - Develop and maintain databases by acquiring data from primary and secondary sources, including market, operational and financial information
- Clean and prepare data removing any errors, identifying outliers, and transforming data into a format that is readable and easily analyzed.
- Proactively analyze data to answer key questions for stakeholders with an eye on what drives business performance
- Prepare reports, both formal and informal, stating trends, patterns, and prediction, using relevant data.
- Develop and maintain rich interactive data visualizations that analyze and report on data from multiple sources
- Review existing data collection systems and make recommendations
- Assist with data analysis on potential business acquisitions
- Assist the CFO with any ad-hoc projects as assigned.
Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in mathematics, computer science, economics, or statistics
- Minimum 3 years’ experience with database design, data modelling and data analysis
- Proven ability to work independently to gather data from internal and external sources
- Technical writing experience including queries, reports, and presentations
- Must have strong SQL and MS Excel skills
