Our Client is a leading M&E consulting engineering firm which focuses on retrofit projects for clients within the high-rise residential, institutional, and commercial building sectors. Their rapidly growing office is currently seeking a talented engineer to join in a technical / project leadership role.
Your new role
As an Electrical Project Engineer – Technical Lead, you will manage and execute the engineering and design of Power Distribution, Lighting, Fire Protection, and Low-Voltage systems relevant to building construction projects. You will work with, and provide guidance to, clients, coworkers, and sub-consultants in order to ensure the completion of technically sound projects. Your responsibilities will include assisting with design and construction issues, as well as meeting and coordinating with Architects, Clients, and other consulting disciplines in order to ensure successful and timely completion of projects. You will also oversee multiple junior and intermediate engineers / designers at a time, and will be involved in project management as well as act as the technical leader on multiple projects.
What you'll need to succeed
The ideal candidate for position will possess a university degree or college diploma relevant to Electrical Engineering. A (P.Eng), (E.IT), (C.E.T) or (LEED) designation would be considered an asset. They will also have 5-10+ years of engineering and design experience relevant to Power Distribution, Lighting, Fire Alarm, and Low-Voltage systems for High-Rise, institutional, and commercial Building Construction projects. Proficiency with AutoCAD, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required for this position.
